Journal for November 4

We'll practice this on Monday, and I'll show you an example. In the meantime, you can think about this assignment and find two pictures.

The task is to DESCRIBE what you see in a picture, using as many specific details as possible. Descibe only; do not give opinions or interpretations of what you see. You do not have to write sentences, only lists. Choose pictures that have a lot of details that you can talk about. Your task is to really think about what you see and put that into words, so the more you see, the easier it will be to write about.

Journal for October 28

Your next journal will be to tell a very short story by filling in the words for several comic strips. I will give you the strips to use, but you can also do your own. Most comic strips are funny, but not all of them. What they do is tell a short story with just a few words. Have fun!

Your story may be handwritten or typed, but either way it should look attractive and be easy to read. The story should be at least one page long, with the picture on it, and not more than two pages.
